"A theory is something nobody believes, except the person who made it. An experiment is something everybody believes, except the person who made it."
- Albert Einstein quotes

Children living in cities often assume that vegetables come from the super market and when they actually see a carrot as a vegetable which grows under the ground or the French beans hanging on the stems or see the Gobi ka phol (cauliflower) they are left amazed. Vegetables are nature's gift for our well being. In our nutritious and organic Vegetable zone we explain and show children which part of the plant, shrub, or creeper we eat. We also help them to differentiate as a root, stem, and leaves, fruit or the flower?

Roots: Radish, Carrot, Beetroot
Stem: Lotus Stem, Sugar Cane
Leaves: Spinach, Fenugreek (Methi), Coriander leaves, mint leaves, Curry leaves etc.
Fruits: Drum Steak, French beans, cabbage, Cauliflower etc.
Flower: Drum steak tree

We also when taking them for the nature's walk explain to children about the different types of plants and their uses

Trees:

Some plants are big and strong. They are called trees. They have a hard stem called trunk. Most of the trees stand straight and with out support. They live for a long time. E.g.: Mango, coconut, palms.

Shrubs:

Shrubs are smaller than trees. They have small and hard stem. Bushes are also shrubs Hibiscus, Rose, Duranta.

Herbs:

Herbs are very small plants. They have soft and weak stems. They are smaller than shrubs. They live for only one season. E.g: Mint, tomato, coriander and spinach.

Climbers:

some plants have long and weak stem. They cannot stand straight. They need support to climb up. They are called climbers. E.g: Vanilla, beans, grape, vine.
