This is the most interesting zone of our Discovery village. Here the children are explained about the different sources of energy and how they are safe for the environment and reusable. The different sources of energy are
- Sun – Solar energy
- Wind – Wind energy
- Cow dung – Bio Gas

Children acknowledge the sun, the natural source of energy. This energy is responsible for the climatic conditions and for virtually supporting life on Earth. Solar energy technologies harness the sun's energy for practical ends. These technologies date from the time of the early Greeks, Native Americans and Chinese, who warmed their buildings by orienting them toward the sun. Modern solar technologies provide heating facilities and generating electricity which in turn assists in cooking (solar cooker), heating (solar heater). At Discovery Village children get to actually watch how rice and dal can cook in a solar cooker. The can experience the heat of the solar rays when they touch the container. The entire path way of PDV is lighted up by the energy that is generated by solar and wind energy.

A windmill is a machine that is powered by the energy of the wind. It is designed to convert the energy of the wind into more useful forms using rotating blades. In Europe, windmills serve to grind grain, and also to pump water. In Discovery village we have a big Functional Windmill where children can see how the energy is converted and stored in a battery and then when switched on actually can light a tube-light.

The LPG, normally used at home, being a by-product of petroleum is dangerous as it can lead to serious accidents. It also is becoming expensive. Comparatively, Bio gas, commonly known as Gober gas, becomes the safest and easiest method for our rural areas as a means for cooking. Bio-gas typically refers to (biofuel) gas produced by the anaerobic digestion or fermentation of organic matter including manure, and biodegradable waste or any other biodegradable feedstock under anaerobic condition. Biogas is comprised primarily of methane and carbon dioxide. At Discovery village Children get to see the Bio-Gas unit and by using the same Methane gas they can see how the Pop-corns are done and not only that they also get to taste them.
