About Prayag

Our Team

Mrs.Amitha Prashanth is a Graduate from Bangalore University with one of her major's being Child psychology and has a diploma in Buisness Management. She joined her husband in U.S.A and lived there for four years. Her husband Mr.Prashanth Prakash a serial entreprneur and venture capitalist has been her constant source of support and inspiration.

She has received her Montessori training under Mrs. Meenakshi Shivaramakrishnan (Secretary General of the Indian Montessori Centre) and who is lovingly called as"Indian Maria". After completing her course successfully she started "Prayag " a place where children could get the nurturing and care that they had a right to. She also runs "Prayag Discover Village" and is associated with the Sikshana Foundation.

Mrs. Sindhu Sudhakar has been with Prayag Montessori since its conception 4 years back. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Bangalore University and has finished her Montessori training course from the IMTC in the year 2004. She is a very dedicated adult who loves working with children. She can sometimes be strict to get the best out of her children, but they miss her if she takes off even for a single day.

Mrs. Soumya Jayanth Nag has been with Prayag Montessori from October 2004. She has a degree in Arts, and Psychology is one of the Majors. She has experience of 4 years working with a Japanese Software Company in Bangalore and during this period has had the opportunity to learn the Japanese Language and has taken JLPT Level III exam. Somya is in charge of the administration department and has been a part of Prayag family from past 3 � years. Being in Prayag gave her an opportunity to attend the Train the Trainer program.

Mrs. Sunitha.H.B is a graduate from Bangalore University and masters in Sociology. She has undergone pre-primary in I.M.T.C and Primary in I.I.M.S. and has experience in working with children in Holy Saint School for 2 years and Tiny Stars another Montessori school for another 2 years before joining Prayag, She has been with Prayag for the past the 3 years.

Ms.Kumuda.R has been working for Prayag for the past 3 � years and has finished her N.T.T training and takes care of children in the Prayag Activity centre. She has also received training from Kathalaya.

Mrs. Chetana. R is a graduate from Bangalore University with B.Com. She has done her N.T.T training in the year 2004 and has been with Prayag for the past 3 � years. She is undergoing her Montessori training through correspondence and has also been trained in Kathalaya.

Mrs.Roja Bhaskar has a degree in Bachelor of Arts with Literature and Psychology as her major subjects. She has received training for pre-primary and primary Montessori based from I.I.M.S. She also has a diploma in counseling skills. She has been with Prayag Montessori for the past two years.

Mrs. Vasanthi B.S is a post graduate in Applied Botany. She also has worked with Creative Children Centre and now is working In Prayag for the past two years. She has also been trained from the I.I.M.S. for Montessori education.

Mrs. Geetha Ravi Shankar is a graduate from Bangalore University in arts with psychology, economics and sociology. She has also undergone training in train the trainer programe and has been with Prayag for 2 years. She works for Prayag Activity Centre.

Mrs.Ashwini Lokesh has a graduation in Psychology and has done a course in multimedia. She assists Mrs.Soumya Jayanth Nag with the admin work and has been a part of Prayag family from past one year.

Mrs. Jyothi Prem is a graduate in B.Sc Child Psy, Botony and Zoology. She has received training in Per-Primary and Primary Montessori Education from I.I.M.S. She has worked with Abacus School in Chennai for a year and Sadana Montessori for another year in Bangalore, before she joined Prayag Montessori.

Mrs. Anupama Gupta is a graduate from Jadavpur University in1988 with B.S.C Hons. in home science. She has done her B.Ed and then Masters in child-development from the same university. She has done her Montessori training from Kolkata and has been with Prayag for a year. She is in charge of all Pre-Mont children in the Activity centre.

Mrs. Vidya Shivprasad is a commerce graduate from Mangalore University. She has worked with pre-primary children in Nigeria for 2 years and has been with Prayag for a year. She works for Prayag Activity centre and also Prayag Discovery Village.
